As January comes to an end, life seems busier than ever! In order to stay mobile and keep up with your hectic life, mobility is key.  Here’s what you need to know about chiropractic care and range of motion.

RANGE OF MOTION

You’ve probably heard the term before, bud o you know what range of motion means? Range of motion is the mobility of the joints in the body and it is measured in degrees of a circle. If you are without injury and maintain a healthy lifestyle, your joints should have a normal range of motion, allowing you to move freely and with ease. If you have experienced an injury, practice poor posture, are obese, live an inactive lifestyle, or are simply aging, you may find your range of motion and flexibility are impaired.

GET MOVING!

Many of our patients came to us looking for help with back or neck pain. But did you know regular chiropractic can provide so much more than that, including improved range of motion? Regular chiropractic adjustments can help you maintain your health and a normal range of more. In fact, the more you move around, the better off your spinal health and nervous system will be.

MAINTAIN RANGE OF MOTION

A big part of range of motion improvement includes stretching. Stretching is great for the mind and also can better your range of motion, which allows for better movement and reduces the likelihood of pain and injury. Both active and passive stretches can improve your range of motion and strengthen muscles and joints. To find out which stretches best suit your needs, just ask during your next adjustment.
